In the next 5 minutes I will help you avoid believing in one of the most prominent lies when you’re building a business.

It is something that will deter you from making money and leave you spinning your wheels and wasting a whole lot of time. What is it?

It is believing that there is a one size fits all solution to grow your business.

It just doesn’t exist. It’s not going to happen. I know that a lot of people are more than willing to sell you these out of the box solutions, but I just want to be super real with you, they don’t work, and let me explain to you why.

Reason #1 – You Are Unique

Especially if you’re just getting started building your brand or building your business, you need a solution that is going to focus on your unique strengths. So, maybe you love to do video, maybe you love to write, you have to have a solution that is specific to that strength.

Reason #2 – You Have a Unique Market.

You have a unique business and a unique market, and if you use one of these “one size fits all” solutions, and you know what I’m talking about, then it’s not going to be specific for your market, and it’s not going to work as well as something that is customized for you.

When we first start growing our businesses and our brands we usually have one of two things, we either have time or we have money.

Depending on which one that is for you, if you have more time to invest in your business you’re going to need a different strategy than someone who has more money than they have time. Does that make sense?

There is no one size fits all solution, but the three things that you do need, that will make you successful no matter what stage you’re at in your business.

First, you want to make sure that you’re speaking to the right person.

This is the person who is willing to pay you to solve their unique problem. They know that they need help, and they’re willing to pay you to help them.

The second thing that you need is the right message.

It is the right message to speak to that person in the right way to communicate your value, and let them know that you can solve their problem, because ultimately that’s all that business really is, right?

People have problems, and we help to solve them. That’s it, business is really simple. I know that there’s a lot of people that over complicate it.

Third thing that you need is the right strategy.

It’s the right strategy, and the one that is fit to your unique market, and to your unique needs, your unique skillset, that’s what you need.

You don’t need a proven system, a one size fits all solution, it’s just not going to get you to where you want to go. And if you’ve bought one of those proven systems and it didn’t work for you, know that you’re not alone, it just probably wasn’t the right strategy for your business.

So don’t feel like there was something wrong with you, or that it worked for everybody else and it didn’t work for you, it probably just wasn’t the right strategy, it wasn’t the right fit for you.

Those three things are what you need: the right market, the right message and the right strategy.
