You know, I believe this strongly for a long time that there really are no business problems. There are no true, real business problems.
What I believe is that there are life problems that overflow into our business.
I’m going to share with you the number one secret that gives me peace no matter what is going on in my life or in my business.
#1 rule that you can follow to be successful in business and in life is to be unattached to the outcome.
That’s whatever it is that you’re trying to achieve. So if you have a product that you’re launching that maybe didn’t go as you wanted it to, it didn’t go as you planned it. Trust me, this has happened to me as well. You wanted thousands of people to come into your program, and it just didn’t happen. It’s okay. Be unattached to the outcome because it’s not the only program you’re ever going to develop. You learned a way how not to do it, and that’s okay.
For example, if you want your kids to do something and maybe they’re not doing it, all that is going to happen, if you are so attached to the outcome, you’re going to be irritated and upset. You’re going to be frustrated. Or if you’ve launched something in business that hasn’t worked out exactly how you thought it was going to work out, then you’re going to feel like a failure.
However, when you are unattached to the outcome, if you are trusting yourself and your abilities, then you will not have those feelings. You will not be delayed by that anger and that frustration.
I hope that is helpful for you today. I hope that you can make that shift from being attached to unattached to the outcome, because this is going to help you a lot in sales, too, as you grow your business. Any time that you get on to a sales call, I want you to be unattached to the outcome.
