Hey, guys. Welcome back. Bridget Irby here from Unleash The Unstoppable, and in the next five minutes, I’m going to tell you something that is going to change your world. It is going to help you to build and grow the brand that you want. It is something that most entrepreneurs miss.
So, here’s the secret, and I’m going to tell you this because I’ve had so many conversations here lately with clients and prospective clients and people just in the street who have told me the same thing again and again and again. And what they say to me is, “Oh, Bridget. I don’t want to send out an email to my subscribers because I don’t want to blast them with content. I don’t want to email them too much because I’m afraid that they might unsubscribe.” Or, “Oh, Bridget. I don’t want post about my business on Facebook because I’m afraid that people might unfollow my page.”
Guys, lean in with me. Come in with me because I have to tell you a secret. If people are going to unsubscribe from your email list if you email them, they’re not ever going to buy from you. So, you need to get them off of your email list. You only want people on your email list and on your Facebook that are going to help you, that are going to help you to grow your business. Whether you’re talking about Facebook or Twitter or whatever, whatever platform you’re talking about, however it is that you communicate with your clients, you don’t want to be afraid that communicating with them is going to make them unsubscribe because that’s not going to grow your business. The people who are going to unsubscribe are not really connected or engaged with you anyway. Your ideal client is going to want to hear from you. They’re going to want to connect with you because you’re providing them with value.
And, on a side note, for those of you who talk about their business on their Facebook personal profile, which I am one of those. If you are friends with me on Facebook, you are going to hear me talk about my business. Why? Because it’s a big part of my life, and I’m really, really passionate about what I do. And I want to help people. And know that if you’re a business owner, it’s your responsibility to share your products and your services with people that you can help, right? Your business is not going to grow in the event that you don’t do that, and you’re not going to be able to help people achieve their goals if you’re not sharing your products and your services.
So, if you’re afraid to share your products and your services on your Facebook profile, let me share something with … Anybody who is going to unfriend you because you have shared something about your business is not your friend
Now, especially as an entrepreneur, you have to be so careful about who you have in your inner circle because people are either for you, or they’re against you. There’s not really a whole lot of in-between, and you don’t want to get confused about what people are for you and what people are against you. So, don’t have any fear about sending out emails or sending out Facebook posts or anything like that because ultimately, there are going to be people who want to connect with you, who are missing out on that opportunity because you’re worried about the people who don’t want to connect with you. If people don’t want to connect with you, they can bounce. They can go. They can go do something else because they’re not going to help you to grow yourself, and they’re not going to help you to grow your brand or your business anyway. So, have no fear about that.
Make sure that you’re engaging with your email subscribers. Make sure that you’re engaging with people on Facebook and do that without fear knowing that if they unsubscribe, it’s okay. It is completely okay because they weren’t for you anyway.
